Privacy
LarpTube uses the minimum practical information needed to operate accounts, uploads, payments, moderation, security, and community features. LarpTube does not currently sell personal information or use Meta Pixel.
This policy describes the categories of information collected, why they are used, where they may be processed, and the choices available to users.
Privacy snapshot (“nutrition label”)
- Account data: username, email, password hash, verification status, profile and channel settings.
- Content data: videos, thumbnails, comments, messages, livestream settings, reports, and moderation records.
- Technical data: essential cookies, signed sessions, device/browser request data, hashed IP or network signals, security logs, and local view or referral measurement.
- Payment data: Stripe customer, checkout, subscription, and status identifiers. LarpTube does not receive full card numbers.
- Delivery data: contact and mailing details are used only when a Red member requests the free 3D-glasses benefit and are removed from the temporary job after completion or expiry.
How information is used
- Create and secure accounts; verify email ownership; remember sessions.
- Host, process, moderate, compress, and display user content.
- Run livestreams, comments, messages, subscriptions, notifications, referrals, and Creator Studio.
- Prevent fraud, malware, duplicate actions, ban evasion, unsafe uploads, and abuse.
- Process Red subscriptions and provide member benefits.
- Respond to privacy, copyright, safety, and legal requests.
Service providers
Information may be processed by infrastructure and service providers used for hosting, object storage/CDN delivery, email verification, payment processing, safety scanning, and fulfillment. Current examples include Stripe for payments and Resend for transactional email. Providers receive only information needed for their role.
Tracking, ads, and Meta Pixel
LarpTube currently does not load Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, or another third-party cross-site advertising tracker. LarpTube uses first-party counters and hashed anti-abuse signals. If third-party targeted advertising or cross-site tracking is added later, this policy and the privacy controls will be updated before activation.
Retention and security
Information is kept for as long as needed for the feature, account, legal obligation, fraud prevention, backup recovery, or dispute. Passwords are stored as salted scrypt hashes. Sessions are signed and protected by HttpOnly/SameSite cookies. Sensitive operational files are stored outside public web paths. No security system can guarantee absolute protection.
Children
LarpTube is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly permit them to create accounts. If LarpTube learns that an account belongs to a child under 13, the account and associated personal information may be removed. Parents may contact LarpTube with a deletion request.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of account information; object to certain processing; or ask a privacy question. LarpTube does not discriminate against users for making a privacy request. Global Privacy Control is treated as an opt-out signal for any future sale or sharing activity, although LarpTube currently states that it does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
